Pranayama si tipurile sale

Pranayama (sau exercitiul de respiratie) este unul dintre principiile de baza ale Yoga. Din punct de vedere yoghin, o respiratie corecta trebuie sa aduca un aport optim de oxigen sangelui si creierului, iar in acest fel sa controleze Prana – sau energia vitala a vietii.

Exista trei tipuri principale de respiratie:

  • abdominala sau diafragmatica,
  • toracica sau costala
  • claviculara.

 

Respiratia abdominala, determina cea mai ampla expansiune a plamanilor, asigurand aportul unei cantitati mari de aer. Mai mult, respiratia diafragmatica genereaza un fel de masaj al organelor interne si energizeaza.

 

Respiratia costala (sau toracica) asigura doar o expansiune usoara a plamanilor,asadar o cantitate mai mica de aer inspirat. De aici si o frecventa crescuta a ritmului respirator.

Respiratia claviculara permite patrunderea celui mai mic volum de aer in plamani si asigura doar ventilarea superficiala a partii superioare a plamanilor.

La baza respiratiei in spiritul yoghin stau patru etape. Fiecare dintre aceste etape trebuie urmata si executata corespunzator pentru a te putea bucura de nenumaratele beneficii fizice, mentale, emotionale si spirituale.

  1. Puraka (inhalarea): procesul prin care tragi aer in plamani in maniera continua, incet, dintr-o singura inhalare.
  2. Abhyantara Kumbhaka (pauza de dupa inhalare): in aceasta etapa, aerul este retinut in plamani fara a face nicio miscare.
  3. Rechaka (expirarea): ar trebui sa fie si aceasta extrem de lenta si continua. De mentionat ca inhalarea trebuie realizata pe nas, iar expirarea, pe gura.
  4. Bahya Kumbhaka (pauza de dupa expirare): este momentul in care, imediat dupa expirare, faci o pauza deliberata de la respiratie. Aceasta pauza incheie un ciclu, iar o noua inhalare nu va face decat sa inceapa un altul.

Beneficiile respiratiei yoghine:

Fiind un intreg proces de respiratie profunda, Pranayama aduce multe beneficii sanatatii. In primul rand, este stimulata eliminarea toxinelor din organism, iar sistemul imunitar este revigorat. De asemenea, tehnicile de respiratie stimuleaza digestia, imbunatatesc metabolismul si sustin functiile vitale. In tot acest timp,imbunatateste  memoria, creste puterea de concentrare, si diminueaza stresul. Prin controlul respiratiei poti obtine linistea si auto-controlul mult-dorite.
